This new initiative includes a museum exhibit, public programs, educational content, and collaborative events exploring the lives and history of the people of the Revolutionary era in and from Loudoun County.

Life, Liberty, Loudoun! Museum Exhibit

The exhibit explores the different perspectives of those residing in Loudoun County during the time of the American Revolution and how they experienced the era in varied and sometimes conflicting ways.

 

Loudoun County was home to a diverse population, including statesmen, soldiers, farmers, enslaved and free Black people, women, preachers, and others who made an impact and altered the nation’s history.

Revolutionary Stories: Loudoun and Beyond
Program Series

The program series titled will feature experts diving deep into the stories of Loudoun’s people and perspectives of the Revolutionary era. Like contemporary times, Loudoun County was the home of diverse identities. By highlighting this historical diversity, we aim to develop a more complete and accurate understanding of the county’s history.
