About the Event
During the American Revolution, over sixty women in Loudoun County supported the cause of the Revolutionary War. This support – known as “Patriotic Service” – was done in a variety of ways such as providing goods to the Continental Army and paying the 1783 Supply Tax. Sherryl Belinsky, State Chair, Virginia DAR Historic Preservation Committee, will discuss the stories of several women in Loudoun who had Patriotic Service during the tumultuous time of the Revolution.
Revolutionary Stories is open to the public, and presentations will be uploaded to our YouTube channel. Check out Loudoun Museum’s social media, website, and sign up for our newsletter to find out about program announcements, updates, and more. The program series is made possible in part by a grant from Virginia Humanities.
Admission is free, RSVPs are welcome, but not required.
