Caring for Textile Heirlooms at Home

Join Kaitlyn Seymour and Katherine Hill McIntyre, associates at Caring for Textiles, for a morning workshop on how to preserve your textile heirlooms with simple practices used by museums.

The workshop, co-sponsored by Thomas Balch Library and Loudoun Museum, will include a lecture with tips on proper storage, cleaning, and basic handling techniques that will prolong the life of your treasured heirlooms.

Participants are encouraged to bring a textile from home for the hands-on second half of the workshop which will include item specific advice on care and storage.
