Author Talk with Nancy Spannaus

Learn more about the real importance of Alexander Hamilton, then and now. Despite the popularity of the Hamilton musical, the real story of Alexander Hamilton’s contribution to building the United States is largely unknown. Public historian Nancy Bradeen Spannaus seeks to fill the gap in her book Hamilton Versus Wall Street: The Core Principles of the American System of Economics. She argues that we need those American System principles today.  Hamilton’s key ideas appear in his masterwork, The Report on the Subject of Manufactures. In her lecture, Spannaus will discuss them and show how they were put into effect throughout U.S. and world history.
