About the Event
The exhibit explores Loudoun County’s largest network of rural roads spanning over three hundred years of history. Many of these byways pre-date America, carved out of Virginia’s hilly terrain by early settlers.
Travis Shaw, Director of Education for the Virginia Piedmont Heritage Area, will reveal some of the stories these gravel roads tell … tales of pioneers seeking a new life, of terrible wars, of slavery and the struggle for freedom, of the automobile era, and of modern commuters living side by side with farmers.
Exhibit Viewing - beginning at 5:30 p.m.
Program - beginning at 6:30 p.m.
