About the Event

As we mark the 200th anniversary of Lafayette’s Farewell tour of the United States, join us for a program with Chuck Schwam, Executive Director of American Friends of Lafayette (AFL) and Dr. Patricia Maclay, physician, historian, and AFL National Vice Chair for the Bicentennial of the Lafayette Farewell Tour.

Learn about the Revolutionary War hero’s life, his relationship with George Washington, and the bicentennial of the Farewell Tour.

Before and after the talk immerse yourself in the museum’s newest exhibit, Lafayette & Loudoun, to explore the many connections Lafayette had to Loudoun County and his visit here in 1825 during the Farewell Tour. Light refreshments will be served.
