Dodona Manor

George C. Marshall, author of The Marshall Plan, changed
the course of history by providing hope to a continent of people.
In 1953, he was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize for his humanitarian
efforts. While living at Dodona Manor in Leesburg, George Marshall
served as Secretary of State, President of the American Red
Cross and Secretary of Defense. The Manor is open to the public..
Oatlands Plantation

Oatlands is an outstanding classic revival mansion with elegant
formal gardens created by generations of the two families who
lived here.
Aldie Mill

The Aldie Mill, built in 1807-1809 by Charles Fenton Mercer,
is located in the village of Aldie at the beginning of the historic
Little River Turnpike. It is Virginias only known mill
powered by twin overshot water wheels.
